Managers Update - 27th November 2007 The absence of some regular First Team players and the poor weather conditions certainly did not help us but we worked hard for the full 90 minutes and could have come away with a point, or three, if luck had gone our way. Impressive debuts for new signings Adam and Donald and a return to the team for Richard Nelmes gave us more options than we have had at some recent matches. With players returning we should have a full squad for next week’s fixture away to Dunlop. Coventry Alliance Division 3 - Christ The King 1: Brinklow 0 Report from Gordon Betts:- Opportunities presented themselves to both sides but a combination of good goalkeeping and slippery conditions ensured no goals until Christ The King won a penalty in the last 5 minutes. They converted this and then held on against Brinklow’s final barrages against their goal in order to claim the points and league leadership. Despite losing this was a strong performance with considerable effort from all involved. Man of the Match went to Andy Mayne who played a key role in the new look defensive line up.
